 Phil Hook - Baseball

 Phil Hook is a new 2011 first year member of Midwest Sports Advisors and is very excited about the opportunity. Phil’s baseball resume includes playing, coaching, scouting, recruiting, umpiring & working with umpires, instructor and tournament direction. Phil has coached players from 9 to 23 years of age. He has spent time at Maple Woods JC, Lindenwood University, Avila University and Odessa JC handling assistant coaching and recruiting duties. In these environments he has experience with both position players & pitchers. Phil has coached on teams that have played in the college world series, high school world series and youth world series. Phil has signed players from California to Florida, including many states in the midwest and south. He has contacts at all levels of baseball, including professional baseball.

 During his college baseball playing time at Crowder JC, Phil suffered a knee injury that resulted in reconstructive knee surgery. His extreme passion and love for the game motivated him to stay in the game of baseball.

 Phil loves challenges in the game and is a teacher of the game of baseball. He is able to give instruction regarding all facets of the game, including an understanding of kinetic energy & psychology. Phil is very motivated to help young men achieve their personal goals, especially educational goals. Phil also has experience tutoring college student- athletes. Phil’s mission statement regarding his work with Midwest Sports Advisors is “acclimation not just placement”. Phil is supported by his son, Will, 3 years old.
