 Evaluators: Mike Macfarlane, Mike Lusardi

Collin Brinker is an good athlete -. Baseball is the sport that fits Collin perfectly because of his athletic skill set. He is strong and runs very well. He thinks about and understands the game better than most players his age. The things that Collin seems to be able to do naturally as an athlete - many baseball players have to work extremely hard to achieve mainly because of the way he seems to anticipate the flow of the game. Defensively, he moves to the ball (in or back) as good as any outfielder we've seen this year and he is only a High School Junior. He also appears to have very sure hands. His throws are very accurate because of his excellent footwork. It doesn't matter if he's coming in on a ball or going side to side- Collin's technique is above average when it comes to High School outfielders. As a pitcher, Collin will be part of a one-two punch for North Callaway High School. Collin throws very accurately with good velocity. He spots his pitches well and has above average control with most of his pitches. He has good mechanics and once again- he is a smart pitcher. As a hitter - we can see why North Callaways Head Coach is excited about the 2011 season because Collin will lead a young group of hitters that will definately push the team toward a district title. Mike Macfarlane (Collin's professional evaluator) says: "Collin is an above average High School batter. He is very coachable and has the ability to make adjustments as they are needed. His mechanics are solid and that combined with quick hands and a very good approach to his at bats will make Collin a formidable foe for opposing pitchers. He is a high character kid that is very coachable and has a good future in college baseball ahead of him."
