Erich Amerine is an excellent athlete with a bright future in baseball. His natural positions appear to be on the infield but, because of his speed and athletic ability he could easily transition to the outfield and be just as effective. Erich is a proto-typical outfielder, OR a corner infielder - he is big strong and has a very good arm.  He is a very solid infielder with soft hands, good quickness, fast release and very good range into the 4-6 holes or up the middle. His fielding mechanics are solid and his mental make-up is exceptional for a young player. His speed (above average for a big corner guy), will allow him to get to balls that might otherwise go through the hole for hits. Erich also has a strong arm that will continue to get stronger with age and maturity. He is a very hard worker and posseses the tools to play at a very high level. as a hitter, he will be one of the best on his team and possibly even in the conference by the time he is a senior. He will hit for power and average. His ability combined with his work ethic will propell him to the top of the hitter lists of area High School prospects. His mechanics are strong, he stays inside the ball extremely well for a young hitter. Erich is an excellent High School  prospect and a top of the class student with high moral character. He will be the hardest worker in virtually any college program!
